Top Five 2/20/12

Top Five 2/20/12
Ying&Yang
Instead of the more angular color blocking seen in the past, Antonio Berardi, used curved shapes in his garments.  These curved lines show off a woman's figure even more and gives the garments a mysteriously abstract touch.
Of the Orient
Flowers seem to be a growing trend this season. Osman used oriental flowers on silk for a bold dark look.  The designer launched his label in September of 2005.
Burn Unit
Giles had a very different show this season.  All of his garments seemed to have gone through a flood, were burned in a fire and then tragedy struck again with yet another flood.  Who knew damaged clothes could look so amazing.
Pollock Impression
I love the combinations of colors Erdem used for his collection this year.  The black really made all the other colors pop in the best way possible.  From past shows you can see that the designer has never been afraid of color.
Harvard Law
Pringle of Scotland, the kings of knitwear in Scotland, showed off some glorious sweaters this season.  The sweaters make me think of Bostonian college girls headed to the library for a late night study session.
