Top Five 2/13/12

Top Five 2/13/12

Grandpa Sweater
Even though this fall collection used a very muted color palette it made me feel warm.  I liked how Olivier Theyskens mixed comfort with sophistication.  Theyskens' Theory can easily go from lounging around to attending a luncheon downtown.

Jockey Chic
Ohne Titel, formed by Flora Gill and Alexa Adams in 2006, had a lot of stripes in their recent collection.  The color blocked leggings seem to be quite a trend this season, but my favorite part is the hat! It reminds me of a jockey helmet, but much chicer.

When Star Collide
Known for her effortless elegance, Carolina Herrera's line was that of the modern, yet classic woman.  Herrera added wild prints to these timeless to give them a bit of a facelift.  The looped belt shown on nearly every piece gave the garments a little extra flare.
White Out
This simple white gown was the tamest of all Chris Benz's pieces this season.  Against the gold  backdrop, the reds and greens really popped.  And even though most would question the holiday connotations brought on by combining the two colors, it actually turned out pretty fabulous.
Painting the Roses
Bibhu Mohaparta had his first ready-to-wear line in February of 2009.  Since then, he has incorporated vibrant colors into every one of his lines.  This collection is no exception with the fiery reds, deep blues and loud greens.
