Top Five 2/18/12

Top Five 2/18/12
Russian Doll
Mother Russia would be so proud! Adorning their models zhivago hats, Temperley London showed off some elaborately embroidered and printed gowns.
 The Orange Shoes
Designer, Daniella Helayel, showed off her Brazilian heritage this season with bold patterns and bright colors.  The Issa models' bright orange shoes were just the icing on the cake.
Plaid, Baby!
Daks took a page out of the Burberry playbook with a wonderful plaid collection. The check was designed by Johnny Mengers in 1976, a mere 80 years after the company was established by Simeon Simpson.
Grey Days
Buttons have suddenly become a faux pas for Aquascutum.  All of their jackets were sans buttons and had a zipper covering the torso instead.
John Rocha's show this season was very dark and angular.  This "edge of darkness" theme seems to be getting very popular for Fall 2012.
