Trends Fall 2012 (3)

Fur
Before weaving and knitting fabric, there was fur.  The textile has been used for thousands of years but in the modern era it has been used as a status symbol and item of controversy.  Until recently, it was something to be worn by rich old ladies or to toss red paint at.  This season fur is turning a new leaf.

Fall 2012 Accessories: Shoes

Shoes
Among the Fall 2012 trends, shoes have taken a bit of a back seat.  In comparison to the season of Alexander McQueen's Armadillo shoes that made a huge statement a few years back, this season is a little mild. Then again, they are shoes. And who doesn't love shoes? (that Armadillo seemed a little impractical anyway...)

Trends Fall 2012 (2)

Red Scare
Red has been associated with love, passion, anger and desire.  The color is provocative and demands attention. One does not just walk past some wearing bright red. They do a double take.  The double take must be the theme this season because nearly every single show featured red in some form.

Trends Fall 2012

Sans Pants
This Spring brought in a more lady-like look for women which included skirts, dresses and soft colors.  With Fall, pants are still out of the picture.  But this time around, women are shedding their softness for more powerful gowns and suits.  This is Fall the dress is no longer a sign of weakness.  Men can have their pants back, we don't need 'em.
