Trends Fall 2012

Sans Pants
This Spring brought in a more lady-like look for women which included skirts, dresses and soft colors.  With Fall, pants are still out of the picture.  But this time around, women are shedding their softness for more powerful gowns and suits.  This is Fall the dress is no longer a sign of weakness.  Men can have their pants back, we don't need 'em.

Top Five 2/15/12

Top Five 2/15/12
Touch of Fur
With a woman's need for individual expression in mind, Vivienne Tam offered a wide range of colors and a variety of coats.  She also offered some cozy fur collars that get everyone ready for fall.
Clockwork
This season Threeasfour used the golden ratio as inspiration. Believed to be a mathematical equation to predict beauty, the ratio is symbolized by a spiral.  This collection has been the most creative and out of the box this season by far.
FairyTales
Marchesa brought back all the fairytales of our childhood in a single show.  The design duo, Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman, are known for their evening wear and we are sure to see some of these pieces on the red carpet.
Changing of the Leaves
Embracing the essence of fall, Douglas Hannant's collection is sophisticated and sleek without forgetting the weather.  The line had camel hair and tweed coats to keep the models warm.
Playing Dress-up
Farah Angsana has only three runway show under her belt but she has turned out this collection like a pro.  With over forty pieces, Angsana has given us a set of evening dresses for any girl in any social situation.  I want to take this entire line and put it in my closet.
