Trends Fall 2012

Sans Pants
This Spring brought in a more lady-like look for women which included skirts, dresses and soft colors.  With Fall, pants are still out of the picture.  But this time around, women are shedding their softness for more powerful gowns and suits.  This is Fall the dress is no longer a sign of weakness.  Men can have their pants back, we don't need 'em.

Top Five 2/14/12

Top Five 2/14/12
Bedazzled
Instead of covering his garments with jewels and bling Oscar de la Renta took a classier approach.  Along with large jewel prints, de la Renta featured Chanel-esque suits and even gowns.
Plain Jane
Rodarte put a new spin on the 1950's school girl look.  The designs are relatively simple but still have a unique essence.
The Outsiders
Bebe created the female versions of the greasers from the book "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton.  Greasy hair and stove pipe pants never looked so good.
Golden Girls
After ransacking their grandmother's closet for inspiration, Badgley Mischka, put together an amazing show full of shiny fabrics and shoe buckles.  It had all of the grandma glamour and none of the face pinching.
Mirror, Mirror
Naeem Kham had some amazing patterned silks and long flowing evening gowns this season.  But my favorite piece is this mirror covered bodice, it makes what once was a plain dress into something completely unique.
